paul-and-his-sister-longoli-2-of-our-sponsored-children We are providing for a number of children’s living and educational expenses in a temporary home setting until Mirembe Cottages and Hope Home are built. These children will then move into Hope Home along with approximately 30 other children who are in need of our help.

masese-children Peace for Paul will purchase land and build Hope Home and Mirembe Cottages as soon as the funds have been raised to do so. Hope Home, the foster home under the umbrella organization Peace For Paul, will house 35-40 children who are currently living on the street. Each child will be expected to attend school and assist in daily household chores and activities. Mirembe Cottages, the guest houses under the umbrella organization Peace For Paul, will provide travelers with a place to stay and Hope Home with a source of income. The idea is that both Hope Home and Mirembe Cottages would be self-sustainable. This sustainability would derive from building a garden to grow our own produce, using solar paneling as our main energy resource, and owning our own live-stock.

education
bosco-and-abra Peace for Paul recognizes the importance of education. Although our primary focus is on the children, we realize that educating their parents can have tremendous benefits. One of our aims is to change the mentality and the stigma attached to the Karamajong people. We want to empower the Karamajong using programs that teach basic personal hygiene, parenting and trade skills, and provide information on available contraception. We will provide certain adult Karamojong graduates of our program with a small business loan. The repayment of these loans will be placed into a revolving account which will be used to empower more women. Although these may seem like simple concepts this knowledge has the potential to improve the lives of the Karamajong people, giving them a sense of their own value, that they can in turn pass on to their children.
